The courses on offer with Learn English Direct Home Tuition are listed below. However, any courses which can't be found on the website can be requested by contacting our office.

With all Home Tuition courses you will succeed in all major areas of the language: reading, writing, listening and speaking. However, as each course is individually designed, you can choose which areas you need to concentrate on. Your progress is carefully watched and assessed by your teacher who will give constant help, guidance and feedback throughout your course.

We can also offer sports and various activity combinations which have become increasingly popular during the summer. It's possible to have tuition in the morning and sports in the afternoon.

The price of your course includes:

  • Full board accommodation with your teacher (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
  • Clean comfortable modern room with an area to study.
  • Formal 1:1 or 2:1 lessons with the teacher planned to meet your individual needs and requirements for learning English.
  • Individual study plan/assessment.
  • All material necessary for your course.
  • Two afternoon or evening outings with your teacher (entrance fees and costs are not included in the price unless you are on a Junior Programme. For juniors all activities and entrance fees are included).
  • One weekend outing/excursion with the teacher (entrance fees and costs are not included in the price unless you are on a Junior Programme. For juniors all activities and entrance fees are included).
  • Full immersion with the teacher and family after lessons enabling you to practise what you have learnt during the day.
  • Many extra hours of exposure to English after your lessons by participating in your teacher’s family life.
  • Transfers from a local bus or train station.
  • End of Course Certificate.
  • Final evaluation, progress report and recommendation for future study.
  • Continuous support from Learn English Direct, 24 - hour helpline.

    • Course fees do not include:

  • Travel to or from the UK.
  • Personal travel or health insurance.
  • Airport transfers to your teacher's home. Costs for transfers from airports to your teacher's home can be advised. Please indicate on the enrolment form if you would like this service.
  • Entrance fees to museums, exhibitions, cinema, theatre etc. (except Junior Programme fees where these costs are included).

    • Plan:

    On your first day of study your teacher will give you a level test. This will take approximately one hour and will help you and the teacher establish your existing knowledge of English. The teacher will then give you a Study Plan which contains various questions regarding your needs and requirements which you go through together at the beginning of the course and agree the course objectives. This is reviewed each week and can be updated or changed throughout your course to obtain maximum achievement. The teacher will then select the best materials to use during your lessons.

    Lessons:

    It's possible to choose a 15, 20, 25 or 30 lesson programme per week. Each lesson is 55 minutes in duration. These lessons are accompanied by Homework (Self Study) which is usually an additional hour or two each day. The lessons usually take place during the day but any preference to the time can be arranged with the teacher.
